How to split a multi-view AI image

  1. Copy the image in ChatGPT, Midjourney or Gemini and paste it here with Ctrl+V
  2. Choose the layout, for example 2×2 for four views or 1×4 for a row
  3. The cut lines snap into the gaps between objects, and each one is trimmed
  4. The background is made transparent. Adjust the tolerance if needed
  5. Download the ZIP: yourimage_1.png, yourimage_2.png…

Made for AI-generated game assets

When you ask an AI image tool for "front, side, back and top views of a treasure chest" or "four variations of a potion bottle", you get one image with everything on it. To use the objects in a game, a presentation or a 3D tool, each one has to be cut out, trimmed and saved separately.

This tool does that in one step. It looks for the empty space between objects instead of cutting blindly through the middle, so objects that are not perfectly centered still come out whole. Each object is then trimmed to its edges with a little padding.

Settings that help

  • Make background transparent removes the plain background AI tools usually add.
  • Same size for all puts every view on the same canvas size, so they line up in your game.
  • Target size scales every view to, for example, 512 px, while keeping their sizes relative to each other.

Tip for better AI results

Ask the AI for "a plain white background, with clear space between each view". Clear gaps make splitting and background removal almost perfect.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the ai image splitter tool.

Does this work with ChatGPT images?

Yes. Copy the image in ChatGPT, then paste it here with Ctrl+V, or save it and drop the file in. It works the same for Midjourney, Gemini, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion and other tools.

The background was not fully removed. What can I do?

Raise the Tolerance slider a little. AI backgrounds are often slightly uneven. If parts of the object disappear, lower it again.

A view was cut through the middle. How do I fix it?

Drag the red line into the gap, or click Detect gaps again after changing rows or columns. You can also click a piece to crop it by hand.

Is my image uploaded to an AI service?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
